The Toronto District School Board is the largest in Canada, and 4th largest in North America. The only branding they had was a pool table green apple slice that was crowdsourced from a student a few decades ago. Out of necessity I created a wordmark from the board’s often used acronym and assigned youthful colours to each letter. I followed through with a complete brand guideline book, assets, and various versions of the logo. I championed the branding and advocated for it to the director of Education. She agreed with me and the branding was filtered down throughout the entire system.
