I collaborated with the Web Architect on the information architecture and UX strategy for the complete redesign of the TDSB website. Together, we identified parents as the primary user group and developed a navigation system based on a student's journey through the education system. The experience begins with Early Years, progresses through Elementary and Secondary School, continues to Adult Learning, and concludes with Community, creating an intuitive path that reflects how families interact with the school board.
This concept also influenced the visual design. Since education is fundamentally about growth, learning, and the passage of time, the site features seasonal tree imagery that evolves throughout the interface as a subtle visual metaphor for a student's educational journey.
The art direction emphasized authentic, energetic photography of TDSB students while maintaining strict adherence to the organization's brand standards, including typography, colour palette, and overall visual identity.
